In "Coconauts in Space" ADAL uses NASA photographic material digitally altering shots from the 1969 NASA moon landing and intergrating them into an invented history of a prior moon landing, in 1963, by Puerto Rican Coconauts, himself included. By this satiric photographic narrative he looks to call attention to expansionism and the practice of history revisionism by dominant cultures.
